The New York Yankees came one series victory short as they pursued the 28th World Series title in franchise history, losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024.
After finishing the season with a record of 94-68 and winning the American League East, the Yankees won the American League pennant before running into the juggernaut Dodgers.
While it was a successful season, the Yankees will have a new look in 2025 after they lost outfielder Juan Soto to the New York Mets as a free agent.
The Yankees did add outfielder Cody Bellinger and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt this offseason, setting up the question of where Aaron Judge will bat in the lineup.
MLB analyst Jack Curry revealed his thoughts on the batting order.
“I would be shocked, shocked, if Judge is not hitting second,” Curry said, via MLB Network.

Judge played all nine seasons of his MLB career with the Yankees.
In 2024, Judge had another great year, playing in 158 games and batting .322 with 58 home runs, 144 RBIs and a 1.159 OPS.
Judge won his second AL Most Valuable Player award in the past three seasons, and he will look to win back-to-back MVPs for the first time in his career.
Curry believes Judge will bat second and backs it up with facts about the number of at-bats players get from the second spot compared to the third spot in the order.
It will be interesting to see where Judge ends up batting in 2025 and whether or not it gets switched during the season.
