At one point this season, it looked like another lost season for the Tigers.

After the most recent big win on Thursday, the Tigers magic number drops to 2 games to make the 2024 postseason.
The win improved their overall record to 85 wins and 74 losses this season, which is their most wins in a season since 2016.
The Tigers now sit 2.5 games ahead of the Minnesota Twins in the American League Wild-Card race before games conclude on Thursday.
Another American League Central team, the Kansas City Royals, also won on Thursday to stay even with the Tigers for the second wild-card spot.
A team that just about threw in the towel at the trade deadline is now in line to make their first postseason since 2014.
Tigers fans are most likely pleased that they kept their ace Tarik Skubal at the trade deadline in July as he has carried the team recently with his dominance.
The Twins will take on the Miami Marlins on Thursday night and both the Tigers team and their fans will have their eyes on that game.
Friday marks the start of the last series of the season where the Tigers will take on the Chicago White Sox.
