The Cincinnati Reds finished their 2024 season with a 4th place finish in the National League Central Division with a record of 77 wins and 85 losses.
Recent breaking news regarding the Reds organization included the signing of veteran manager Terry Francona to manage the Reds for the next 3 seasons.
The Reds have only made the postseason 1 time in the last 11 seasons, which ended with getting swept in the National League Wild-Card series by the Atlanta Braves in 2020.
Francona gives the Reds a manager with experience winning as he has multiple World Series titles under his belt.
According to Chatterbox Sports on ‘X,’ Francona sends a clear message about his new job with the Reds.

The Reds haven’t won a playoff series since 1995, and Francona was asked if he asked the organization to go out and get new players before taking the job.
Francona answered the question by saying it was not even brought up, and he even goes further by saying he wants to make the players they have into the best baseball team they can be.
It appears that Francona doesn’t ever want to have to bring up payroll in a conversation, and he is just focusing on developing the players he has.
Francona brings his managerial success to the Reds as he has won 2 World Series Titles with the Boston Red Sox and also an American League Pennant for the then-Cleveland Indians.
Reds fans are most likely happy with the signing due to the past success that Francona has had.
In 2025, Francona will first try to get the Reds back to the postseason for the first time since 2020.
